- National Press Club
The First Nations Wealth Forum occurred on the evening of 21 June 2022. Held at the National Press Club, the event united First Nations leaders from the US, Canada, Aotearoa/New Zealand, as well as Australia.
The First Nations Wealth Forum asked five prominent First Nations leaders of international distinction to consider the question: ‘How can First Nations people achieve their own wealth?’ In a panel moderated by ANU Chancellor, the Hon. Julie Bishop, the leaders drew on personal insights and experiences to respond to the question, reflecting on the different circumstances, approaches, and challenges that prevail on the journey to attaining genuine economic development. The panellists then participated in an armchair conversation with questions from the Chancellor and audience members.
